$ cnpm install queoid
A stupid simple and low-level queue library.
# Using npm
npm install --save queoid
# Using yarn
yarn add queoid
// Require ../lib
const Queoid = require("queoid");
// Create a new queue
var q = new Queoid();
// Push some functions
q.push(function (cb) {
setTimeout(function () {
cb(42);
}, 100);
});
// Push a function with aditional arguments
q.push(function (bar, num, cb) {
setTimeout(function () {
cb("Foo " + bar + " " + num);
}, 50);
}, ["bar", 42]);
// Start the execution
q.start(function (result) {
console.log(result);
// => [ { '0': 42 }, { '0': 'Foo bar 42' }, { '0': 'Baz' } ]
});
// Push another function after starting the execution
q.push(function (cb) {
cb("Baz");
});
There are few ways to get help:
Queoid(fn)Creates a new function queue.
fn: The function to call when the queue is ended.done()This function ends the queue. This is called internally (in most cases you don't have to call it manually).
check()Checks the state of the queue and runs the next function.
push(fn, args)Adds a new function in the queue.
fn: The function to push in the queue.args: The arguments used to call the function.start(fn)Start the function queue execution.
fn: The function to call when the queue is ended.Have an idea? Found a bug? See how to contribute.
I open-source almost everything I can, and I try to reply to everyone needing help using these projects. Obviously, this takes time. You can integrate and use these projects in your applications for free! You can even change the source code and redistribute (even resell it).
However, if you get some profit from this or just want to encourage me to continue creating stuff, there are few ways you can do it:
Starring and sharing the projects you like :rocket:
—I love books! I will remember you after years if you buy me one. :grin: :book:
—You can make one-time donations via PayPal. I'll probably buy a
coffee tea. :tea:
—Set up a recurring monthly donation and you will get interesting news about what I'm doing (things that I don't share with everyone).
Bitcoin—You can send me bitcoins at this address (or scanning the code below): 1P9BRsmazNQcuyTxEqveUsnf5CERdq35V6

Thanks! :heart:
If you are using this library in one of your projects, add it in this list. :sparkles:
